Privacy notice
How Unity Fighting Championship uses your information.
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Who is responsible?
Unity Fighting Championship is responsible for the personal information it collects through this website. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email unityfightingchampionship@hotmail.com.
Fighter applications
When you submit an application, Unity receives your name, date of birth, email and phone number; location, hometown and country of origin; on-the-day and walk-around weights, height, amateur or professional status, fight record and gym; coach name and contact details; Tapology and social profiles; glove and T-shirt sizes; and entrance track. An application reference and submission time are added.
These details support reviewing applications, checking competition experience, arranging appropriate matchups, communicating with fighters and coaches, and preparing fightwear and event presentation. All current application fields are required by Unity’s form; if you cannot provide a detail, contact Unity directly. There is no legal obligation to apply. Do not include medical information, injury histories, identification documents or other sensitive information here.
Processing your request to compete and preparing an event arrangement relies on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Checking fight experience, contacting coaches, fair matchmaking and keeping relevant event records also serve Unity’s legitimate interests in running professional events. Application review is undertaken by the Unity team; the website does not make automated acceptance or matchmaking decisions.
The website processes the form to prepare delivery, then your browser sends it to FormSubmit, which emails the application and a spreadsheet attachment to Unity’s Hotmail inbox, provided by Microsoft. Authorised Unity team members use the information for application and event administration. The website has no database of fighter applications and does not publish your submitted form.
Coach information and public profiles
A fighter may provide a coach’s name and contact details. Unity uses these to verify competition information and discuss arrangements, relying on its legitimate interests in fair matchmaking and event administration. Fighters should share this notice with their coach before submitting their details. Coaches can contact Unity to ask what information has been provided or to exercise their rights.
Unity may consult the Tapology and social profiles you identify to check competition information. The Instagram feed and champions pages show publicly available posts from Unity’s account and selected related posts; they do not publish private application information. Public event coverage and fighter/title-holder information serve Unity’s legitimate interests in reporting and promoting its events and recognising competitors. For questions about your appearance in a public post, contact Unity.
Enquiries
The enquiry preparation form keeps your name, email, topic and message in the current page. It does not automatically send or save them. If you copy, download or send the enquiry through email or a social channel, that service also handles the information. Unity uses enquiries to respond and arrange the service requested, relying on pre-contract steps where applicable and otherwise its legitimate interests in answering business enquiries.
Visiting the website
Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Delivering pages, preventing abuse and diagnosing faults involves technical request information such as IP address, browser/device information, requested URL, timestamps and response status. Unity also sees Cloudflare traffic reports. These activities support Unity’s legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable website. Application contents are not written to website application logs. The site does not currently load Google Analytics, a Meta advertising pixel or a Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon.
Video, fonts and site artwork are served from this website. Facebook and YouTube are external links. Those services receive your information when you choose to visit them.
Optional Instagram content
Instagram embeds are blocked until you allow Instagram cookies. With your permission, your browser connects to Meta to display posts. Meta may receive your IP address and device/browser information and use cookies or similar technologies for tracking, personalisation and advertising, including associating activity with an Instagram account. See Meta’s privacy policy and cookie information.
Consent is the basis for loading this optional content. You can refuse it and still use the site and apply. Use to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing stops further embeds on this website; it does not undo earlier processing by Meta. Where Instagram has already loaded, the page refreshes to unload its code.
How long information is kept
- Applications: Unity has specified a minimum of six years from submission for application emails and attached spreadsheets. This is Unity’s stated retention policy, rather than a blanket legal requirement. Any longer retention should relate to an ongoing fighter/event relationship, a legal obligation or an unresolved claim. Contact Unity for details about your record or to request deletion; requests are considered according to the applicable rights and any continuing need to keep information.
- Enquiries: Unity keeps correspondence while dealing with the enquiry and any resulting event relationship. Relevant records may be retained to meet legal obligations or handle claims; unrelated correspondence should be deleted when no longer needed.
- Delivery service: FormSubmit states that it retains submissions in its archive for 30 days. Unity’s email copies have the retention described above.
- Browser drafts: only saved when you select Save draft on this browser. They expire after 30 days and are removed when the application page next reads storage. You can delete them sooner from that page. A matching draft is also removed after successful submission. Old drafts without a save date are removed on the next application-page visit.
- Privacy choices: the browser stores your choice and its date for up to 183 days. Expired choices are removed when the site checks them.
- Technical data: Cloudflare Worker request logs expire after three days on the Free plan or seven days on the Paid plan. Cloudflare’s separate security logs and traffic reports follow the relevant service retention settings. Contact Unity for information about a particular request. Instagram/Meta and Microsoft handle their own service data under their linked policies.
Service providers and international processing
Cloudflare, FormSubmit, Microsoft and, if you allow embeds, Meta handle information as described above. Their services may process data outside the UK. Cloudflare’s data processing addendum describes its international-transfer arrangements. Microsoft and Meta describe their arrangements in their privacy statements. FormSubmit’s published privacy notice does not specify processing locations or UK transfer safeguards. Contact Unity for the arrangements applicable to your application, or email Unity directly if you prefer to avoid FormSubmit. This notice does not mean that each provider’s arrangements have been independently verified.
Your rights
You can ask Unity for access to your information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion or restriction of use. Where applicable, you can ask for a portable copy of information processed automatically on consent or contract grounds. These rights have conditions and may be limited where records must be kept for legal reasons.
You have a right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Explain your situation to Unity using the email above. You can also withdraw Instagram consent through Cookie settings without affecting earlier lawful processing.
If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, contact Unity. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or call 0303 123 1113.
Changes
This notice will be updated when the website’s use of personal information changes. New optional purposes or providers will require a fresh choice where consent is needed. See the cookies and storage notice for the controls currently available.
